Amrit

Amrit means Nectar; immortal.

Amrit is a name given to both boys and girls, used in Sikh families. It comes from Sanskrit.

In the namkaran tradition the first syllable of a name is often chosen to suit the rashi, the moon sign at birth. Amrit begins with a syllable traditionally used for Mesha (Aries).
