Sharan

Sharan means Refuge; shelter in God.

Sharan is a name given to both boys and girls, used in Sikh families. It comes from Punjabi.

In the namkaran tradition the first syllable of a name is often chosen to suit the rashi, the moon sign at birth. Sharan begins with a syllable traditionally used for Kanya (Virgo).
